Comments to the post: Chinese Investors In B.C. Expanding To Recreational Purchases

May 26th, 2014 by

Hi well here is the original article if anyones is interested. Its the same old news, the Chinese are taking over. I find it very interesting to read the comments below the article. To save you some time here are the best comments I saw.

The investment is great but they are driving up prices so that the locals can no longer afford to live there. There are many towns in BC where prices are high. The problem is that no one really lives in the places, so the towns are struggling to get by. It is a double edge sword.
This is a myth, foreign investment si no more than 2-4%Truth? Cost of living in Vancouver and BC is high due to very high demand and nowhere to build the demanded units being asked for.

The ALR has constrained Vancouver’s growth to the same area as 40 years ago. We have 2.5x as many people as we did in 1980 in metro Vancouver in the same area.

I’d be interested to know if it would be possible for Canadian investors to purchase 46 acres of pristine land and water on mainland China. Not that there is any.
Thanks to the Chinese, our Real Estate is out of control. They’ve done a fine job of over populating and using up all their resources and now have moved on to other Continents like locus and will end up taking over here, thanks to our Government that have put this Country up for sale.
When you open your borders to high influx of wealthy immigrants this can and will happen. Not sure what everybody was expecting.

CANADA=FOR SALE=SAD…VERY SAD.
We are selling off our national treasures.
Only citizens should be allowed to buy land – that is the norm in most countries of the world.
Can you let Chinese investors that I have 6.5 acres that I would consider selling in the GTA?Thanks.

Investors are investors.Does it really matter which country they come from?
They are all Parasites looking for something to double this money on or more.
If thiese properties ar explicitely held for foreign investors well,that is just wrong. Properties should all be listed and properly advertised so that all prospective buyers have a fair chance at the same piece of ground.
Were these crown holdings?? If yes,then it is wrong to offer them only to the foreign buyers..Governments ,however do have far to many properties that are not marketed properly. Most of our industrial assets have and are being sold off. No dought.
Wait til you witness the sellout of the Arctic?? Under the name of development.Diamonds and oilk will bring a higher price sellit off than it will cost to develop iit ourselves.WE WILL BE TOLD AND,TO HELL WITH JOBS!!
Ft McMurray is a prime example.
